Program Information

C-NET Channel 98 cablecasts the regular meetings of the Bellefonte and State College Area School Districts.  In addition to meeting coverage, C-NET also records  and cablecasts other school district events including information programs, public hearings, sports, choral, band and orchestra concerts, and public issues forums.

Channel 98 is also the place to find programming from the Schlow Centre Region Library, the Centre County Library and Penn State.

In addition to member sponsored programs, the following programs also appear on Channel 98:

The Research Channel - The Research Channel was founded by a consortium of academic and research universities across the country in order to share the valuable work of their researchers with the public.  Remarkable speakers, researchers and scholars present revolutionary thoughts and discoveries on Research Channel.  The University of Michigan, the George Mason University and the National Science Foundation are just a few of the world-renowned institutions that participate and whose programs are featured.

Programming ranges from health and medical information to political science, psychology, religious studies and the arts and humanities.

University Channel Lectures - An outreach initiative of Princeton University, the University Channel provides lectures from academic institutions around the world, available free to channels like C-NET.  C-NEt selects on University Channel lecture each month, which is cablecast several times over the course of the month.

SciEngiMathePlorations - Produced by the Engineering Society of Detroit, this 30-minute program explores topics in science, engineering, math, architecture, medicine, and space exploration.  The program is aimed especially at middle school students with an interest in math and science.

American Democracy TV - American Democracy Television is made possible by the Alliance for Representative Democracy (www.representativedemocracy.org), a partnership combining the resources of: The National Conference of State Legislatures, Trust for Representative Democracy, the Center for Civic Education and the Center on Congress at Indiana University.
