About C-NET

C-NET is Centre County's Government and Education Access Television Network. C-NET administers of two channels, CGTV (channel 7) and CETV (channel 98) and also manages CentreConnect.org, a comprehensive countywide website database of non-profit, government, and education organizations.

Our programming ranges from public meetings to high school sports, concerts, and local festivals. A C-NET member agency must sponsor each program that airs on the channels. There are currently 13 members: Bellefonte Area School District, Centre County Government, Centre County Library, Centre Region Council of Governments, College Township, Ferguson Township, Halfmoon Township, Harris Township, Patton Township, Penn State University, Schlow Centre Region Library, State College Area School District, and State College Borough.

C-NET is governed by a Board of Directors, which consists of one representative from each of the thirteen participating organizations, and one representative from the CentreConnect Steering Committee. The Board decides major policy issues and guides the organization. The C-NET Board of Directors generally meets quarterly on the second Tuesday of the first month of each calendar quarter at 7:30 PM in the State College Municipal Building. Meetings are open to the public. (Meeting dates, location and times are subject to change).

Cynthia Hahn
Position: Executive Director

Cynthia Hahn assumed the position of C-NET's Executive Director in January of 2006.  Prior to 2006, she served as the State College Borough's representative on the C-NET Board of Directors for five years.  Before joining the C-NET staff, Cynthia worked in restaurant management in State College since 1997.  She received her B.A. in Theatre from the University of Texas at Austin and has completed coursework toward her M.A. in Theatre History, Criticism and Theory from Penn State.  Cynthia lives in State College with her husband Donald Hahn.

Justin Baker

Justin Baker, Production Manager, has been with C-NET since August 2004.  Before joining he served as a Creative  Services Producer for WHSV-TV, an ABC affiliate in Harrisonburg, Virginia.  Justin holds a B.S. in the School of Media Arts and Design from James Madison University. 

 

Stephanie Yager

Stephanie Yager has been employed at C-NET since October, 2002.  She moved to State College after graduating from Ithaca College in upstate New York with a Bachelor's Degree in Television Production.  Her area of concentration was audio production, and she minored in creative writing.  In college, Stephanie worked on the Audio/Visual Staff for the school's Office of Conferences and Events.  Stephanie began working at C-NET part time as the administrative assistant.  To make ends meet during that time, she worked a second job encoding video and audio for web streaming at the Webcast Center in Philipsburg.  In time, staff turned over and Stephanie moved into the position of Daytime Producer.  She was promoted to Programming Coordinator in the spring of 2007.

Stephanie grew up an only child in Columbus, Ohio.  Growing up she traveled a great deal with her family, and she has visited every state except Hawaii, plus Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the Netherlands.  She is now married and lives with her husband Gene and cat Ruby.  They own a home in the village of Coleville, just outside of Bellefonte Borough.  Stephanie enjoys fixing up the house, entertaining friends and visiting her niece and nephew.
