About Volunteering

Volunteering at C-NET is a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills and refine existing ones. Production volunteers get hands-on experience in single and multi-camera video production.  Volunteers play a vital role in the success of our network and provide a valuable service to the local community.

Requirements

Anyone with an interest in serving the community is welcome to join us!  Just call us at 238-5031 or e-mail us at cnet@centreconnect.org for more information.

Your completed application will let us know when you are available so we can set up a training schedule.  Once you turn in the application, a member of our staff will contact you and set up a series of training sessions.

Internships/Volunteering for Credit

Penn State students enrolled in the College of Communications have been approved to receive up to three internship credits for their volunteer hours at C-NET. If you are interested in volunteering for credit, you should follow the regular internship procedures as outlined by the college. Each credit requires 67 hours of work that is to be completed throughout the semester. Interns use a sign in sheet to keep track of their hours.

Internships are available for the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters.  For more information about interning at C-NET, call 238-5031.

Note of Thanks and Appreciation

In addition to gaining valuable hands-on experience, C-NET interns and volunteers provide a great service to our organization and in-part help to enhance communication channels in Centre County.  On behalf of C-NET and the community, we sincerely thank you.
